An updated version of the MODIS land cover dataset, MCD12Q1.061 offers improved classification algorithms and data quality, providing annual global land cover information for various applications.
This dataset is made openly available and distributed under NASA’s EOSDIS open use policy. Users may use, adapt the data provided that proper credit is given to the original authors and source, a link to the policy is included, and any modifications are clearly indicated. Unless a credit line states otherwise, images or third-party materials in the data documentation are also covered under the same open terms; if not covered and your intended use is beyond statutory permissions, separate permission may be required.
